Everything one does or doesn’t has an impact in the universal sense. It’s the ego of ‘I’ which prevents us from seeing it.

A new one which comes from taleb. Do not do unto others that you don’t want others to do to you. Much better than the golden rule.

#SilverRule

Wants are limitless and will never provide satisfaction. Needs are few and provides contentment. Very important to pick up and imbibe this distinction early in life.

#NeedyWants

Another oft abused phrase. It’s just an excuse to be an asshole and not own upto one’s mistakes or wrongsoings. Everyone is flawed and its ok. But using that flaw as an excuse and calling it being yourself, is not ok. Wisdom and maturity make the difference.

#BeingYourself

The surest way to find out who someone is, is to put them on a pedestal and attribute good qualities to them. Either they’ll live up the good standards for themselves or fall from the high place. Win-win for you in either case.

#PedestalStandards

Essentially to put themselves or others in boxes that they can understand. Means neither able to see another person’s perspective nor accept that one could be wrong. In the end, we all end up in a box or some sort of a box. Don’t be in a hurry to put yourself (or others) in one.

#BoxedPerspectives

People are quick to identify themselves either with regards to gender or politics or whatever crap that’s being sold as identity these days. Funny no one seems to identify themselves as a decent human being let alone a good one. No competition there.

#IdentityBeing

Means incapable of neither initiating healthy relationships nor put in the effort to maintain one. matters only when your actions impact only you or has a direct/indirect positive effect on others around you. Everyone is part of the universe. Remember that.

#Independent

If you think learning is difficult. Try Unlearning. That is why focus should be on good thoughts, actions, deeds etc. Not meant to be an ostrich in the sand but don’t feed the mind what it does not need to know especially if one doesn’t have the capacity to remain untouched by it. One cannot unsee what one has seen. Extreme caution.

A double edged sword. Egos are built and whole lifetimes are whittled away thanks to a mirror. But at the same time, the toughest questions are posed eye to eye in front the same. The person looking back holds back no punches.
